Best Selling Business Books: | | 1. | E-myth Revisited: Why Most Small Businesses Don't Work and What To Do About It. Michael Gerber Amazon Review "Michael Gerber's The E-Myth Revisited should be required reading for anyone thinking about starting a business or for those who have already taken that fateful step. The title refers to the author's belief that entrepreneurs, typically brimming with good but distracting ideas, make poor businesspeople. He establishes an incredibly organised and regimented plan, so that daily details are scripted, freeing the entrepreneur's mind to build the long-term success or failure of the business. You don't need an MBA to understand or follow its directives; Gerber takes time to explain buzzwords and complex theories. Written in a clear and well-paced manner, The E-Myth Revisited is like receiving advice from an old friend." | | | 2. | The 100 Absolutely Unbreakable Laws of Business Success Brian Tracey Synopsis Why are some people more successful in business? Why do some businesses flourish where others fail? Renowned business speaker and author, Brian Tracy has discovered the answers to these puzzling questions. In The 100 Absolutely Unbreakable Laws of Business Success Tracy draws on his thirty years' experience to present a set of universal laws that lie behind the success of business people everywhere, in every kind of enterprise, large and small. Tracy breaks the 100 laws down into nine categories: Life, Success, Business, Leadership, Money, Economics, Selling, Negotiating, and Time Management. Drawing on a lifetime of observation, investigation, and experience, Tracy identifies and defines each law - such as the Law of Cause and Effect and the Law of Increasing Returns - and reveals its source, illustrates how it functions through real-life examples, and shows how to apply it through specific exercises that everyone can use to begin the journey toward greater business success. Easy to read, easy to understand, and easy to apply, The 100 Absolutely Unbreakable Laws of Business Success offers a straightforward, eye-opening, life-affirming approach to how the world of business really works. | | | 3. | The Millionaire Next Door William J. Stanley Customer Review "This book exposes the truth behind the great wealth generators of America. Its message however has universal application. Contrary to expectation, real accumulators of wealth don't do any of the things that popular perception would have us believe. They don't have expensive tastes, live in plush houses, drive executive cars or wear the trappings of success. Instead, they budget very carefully and live well within their means, setting aside a sizeable proportion of their income for investment. This book explodes the myth of high earners necessarily becoming rich and supports its assertions with a wealth of detailed statistics. Most millionaires are apparently frugal, well-disciplined in handling their finances and frankly, downright dull! Not the sort of people that warrant a second glance. Easy to read and enlightening, it may not be too late to change your behaviour and to embark on becoming a Prodigious Accumulator of Wealth (PAW)." |

It is simply a matter of knowing which quadrant to work from and when. Have you ever wondered: * What the difference is between an employee and a business owner? * Why some investors make money with little risk while most other investors just break even? * Why in the Industrial Age most parents wanted their children to become medical doctors, accountants or attorneys...and why in the Information Age those professions are under financial attack? Have you noticed that many of the brightest graduates from our universities want to work for college dropouts...dropouts such as Bill Gates of Microsoft, Richard Branson of Virgin Industries, Michael Dell of Dell Computers, Ted Turner of CNN? | | 7. | Losing my Virginity Richard Branson Customer Review I'm not a lover of books that are 500+ pages long so when I first received this book I was a little put off. After reading the first few pages though I was gripped and couldn't put it down. At a very early age, Branson seemed to have that drive that has stayed with him and has made him what he is. His lifestyle in the early days is not what you imagine and he has had his fair share of bad luck. The book takes you step by step through his life up until he is 40. He is a very likeable, genuine and considerate man and he seems to be into everything, literally!. If you think being dislexic might set you back, think again. I admired Branson's drive and enthusiasm before I read this book, now it's got me hooked and I want to find out more about him. A totally gripping book start to finish and this is the first book that I can honestly say that I couldn't put down. It has my recommendation and if I had the chance of working with him I'd jump at it ! Brilliant - well worth a buy. | | | 8. | The 22 Laws of Marketing Al Ries & Jack Trout Synopsis Ries and Trout share their rules for certain successes in the world of marketing. Customer Review Even Einstein said "if you can't explain it simply, then you don't understand it". This book is the simplest explaination of what really matters in marketing and while you can read the most complex detailed marketing texts in the world, if you read this book in 30minutes you know most of what you need to know.
