Cusomter Review
"I am just beside myself on the results gathered so far from instituting the Pareto System. I use an agenda for meetings now and have formulated a standard package given to new clients. Already I have sent out twenty thank–you cards to new referrals. I even got a referral from a referral if that makes sense. Some clients didn′t know that I was still expanding my business. I am also finding advocates that I didn′t classify as such. Opening twenty accounts in this short time span is amazing but already I have another ten leads in the pipeline. You guys were right, it does work."

"We have been building client relationships for 45 years...Pareto Systems successfully helped us to pause and then guided us through the process of defining the appropriate business structure and systems which will strengthen and enhance our best client relationships. We are now focusing on a comprehensive, systematized program for select clients. The results have been amazing; client satisfaction is way up and so are revenues.

The 80/20 Principle: The Secret of Achieving More with Less

Richard Koch

Product Synopsis

This special 10th anniversary edition of the bestselling The 80/20 Principle contains an entirely new chapter 'The Yin and Yang of the Principle' in which Koch responds to the thousands of reader responses to the book - including a rap song! - and uses this new material to reach a new level of awareness and understanding of the true power of the principle. And it is powerful: The 80/20 Principle - the fact that 80 per cent of results flow from 20 per cent of causes - is the one true principle of highly effective people and organisations. The 80/20 Principle shows how you can achieve much more with much less effort, time and resources, simply by concentrating on that all-important 20 per cent. The 80/20 Principle is the key to controlling our lives. If we can latch on to the few powerful forces within and around us, we can leverage our efforts to multiply effectiveness. Most of what we do has trivial results. A little of what we do really matters. So if we focus on the latter, we can control events instead of being controlled by them, and achieve several times the results.

Product Review
"The 80/20 principle is the cornerstone of results-based living. Read this book and use it." - Timothy Ferriss, No. 1 New York Times bestselling author of The 4-Hour Workweek

The book also features simplified diagnostic exercise to help you identify which are the best activities for you to follow; updated references and follow up activities throughout; and, improved layout design.

Customer Review

"This book is divided into two parts that enables either the potential, new or experienced manager to acquire the skills necessary for improving workplace performance. The first part allows the manager to understand their capabilities through fairly thought provoking tasks and questions. This section culminates in a useful questionnaire, from which the manager can ascertain his or her strength and weaknesses based on the eleven key qualities that managers should possess. This then leads into the second part of the book where the 49 activities for self-development can be taken either in order or individually, allowing you to focus on your weakest skills (as indicated in the questionnaire). At the end of the day this book is only as good as the practical use made of the tasks (and the learning strategy you develop), nevertheless it is well written and presented and should make a useful addition to most managers' bookshelves."

How to Grow Leaders: The Seven Key Principles of Effective Leadership Development

John Adair

Product Review

Today's fiercely competitive business environment demands that professionals step-up and be counted if their company is to discover a recipe for success. Leadership qualities in professionals at all levels of the management hierarchy play a key role in business success. In this day and age when mediocre team management is a not an option comes the book How To Grow Leaders; another masterstroke by John Adair, the author of the best-selling classic - Not Bosses But Leaders. Adair who transformed the understanding of how leadership works with his pioneering concepts and thoughts in Not Bosses But Leaders, marks a return with his latest work which explores exactly what we know about leadership and leadership development. Adair fittingly infers that the secret of business success is excellence of leadership at all three levels - strategic, operational and team, a nomenclature that is now beginning to catch on, much of the credit for which goes to him.

This thought provoking and highly readable book underpins Adair's position as a world-renowned authority on the subject of leadership. How To Grow Leaders helps readers discover skills in themselves and those around them. The book does not harbour any pretences of transforming the reader, rather it makes one pause, think and appreciate the value of leadership skills and helps one to attempt to imbue certain qualities which are considered a prerequisite for succeeding. The narrative is simple and the message is clear and concise; something which cannot be attributed to many of the myriad so-called leadership development programmes. Adair's book sets the record straight on readership development. It is one motivational course readers can undergo from the comfort of their own armchair provided the author's thoughts are read and appreciated fully. Absorbing as the book is, it would be hard not to.

Customer Review

Having read a number of books on business planning and strategic analysis I found this book one of the most useful references available. The authors have included every business planning and analysis tool you could ever need and I think it is an essential reference for anyone involved in the analysis or planning of a business. The book is clearly written and very practical. Many business planning books are very theoretical but this one seems to be written by business planners for business planners. I would recommend this book to anyone involved in business planning.
